About East Lansing Dental
Family Dental Office located near Frandor Shopping Center with an emphasis on children.
Located at 200 N Homer St # B, Lansing, MI 48912, East Lansing Dental operates as a dentist serving Lansing in Michigan. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
In Lansing, popular practices book routine cleanings weeks ahead, so call early or ask to be put on a cancellation list; emergency and walk-in clinics are the exception. Across Michigan, a new-patient exam with X-rays and a cleaning typically runs from about $150 to $350 without insurance, and many offices publish new-patient specials on their websites. Check the listing for hours, whether the office takes your insurance or Medicaid, languages spoken, wheelchair access and parking, then confirm by phone: insurance networks and providers change more often than the listings do.
Hours are published for 5 days a week. Typical hours are 9 amβ5 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (517) 351-9070. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, drhalltatedental.com.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 433 reviews, which is a strong result for a dentist in Lansing and suggests consistent service.
Lansing is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. Getting around Lansing is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Michigan's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

My 4-year-old son, who has ADHD, was scheduled for fillings with nitrous oxide to help reduce anxiety. Unfortunately, the experience was very distressing. He became extremely upset after being restrained and having the mask placed on him. Despite his visible panic, screaming, and repeated requests to stop, attempts were made to continue the procedure. While he was still in a state of extreme distress, a bite block and suction device were placed in his mouth before he had calmed down or become cooperative. I was especially concerned to learn that the nitrous oxide had not yet been started during much of this process. As a parent, it was difficult to watch my child struggle while the procedure continued despite his obvious fear and overstimulation. At that point, we decided to stop the appointment and seek care elsewhere. We were ultimately referred to a provider who could perform the treatment under sedation. I understand dental procedures can be challenging for young children, especially those with ADHD and anxiety, but I left feeling that my sonβs distress was not adequately recognized or addressed. I hope future patients are given more patience, support, and time to feel safe

My children's appointments were being continuously cancelled and postponed for months until I was eventually and randomly told the practice was in the process of looking for a new Hygienist and that they were no longer servicing patients over the age of 12. At this point , my children hadn't been seen for follow up cleanings / Root Canal follow ups for , a little over a year. My children had been patients with this office since they were toddlers and now , shortly after an emergency root canal procedure (which was done by a completely separate practice , who got my child in the same day .. meanwhile it was going to be weeks before this office would have been able to schedule us in for this emergency procedure) , I had to scramble and find a new Family Dentist. Amongst other questionable experiences with this office , I had definitely been ready to look for services elsewhere.

This dental office is absolutely phenomenal. My daughter has been here several times for different things, she does NOT tolerate the sounds well. The various tools make her scream π± during the entire procedure each time and all the staff is wonderfully patient with her, it means so much to me. They are all so wonderful, thank you for all you do! β€οΈ

This office is always busy, and they book far out in advance, but the people who work there are all really nice and caring. Really great place for cleanings, general dentistry care, and they work well with other dentists for referrals, when needed. Great atmosphere & still utilizes distance rules for the safety/health of all. Very clean. Great staff!
